Weekly Question

Since my birthday is tomorrow (yay!) I thought I'd ask:

Do you like your name? What does it mean?

Yes, I like my name. I always have. And the meaning makes it all the better.

Amy is a given name, a variant of "Aimee", which means beloved in French, from Old French amede, from Latin amāta, feminine singular past participle of amāre "to love". The name may also originate from French Ami, which means friend.

I like my name now. I didn't growing up because it was an odd name. My best friend in high school was named Amy, but there where no other Amber's. My name means petrified tree sap with a dead bug in it, probably a prehistoric bug. That's cool, right???? I wanted to be named Beth or Samantha...Sam for short.

My name means Queen, but you knew that already, right?!? ;-) I like my name except when I get the dirty jokes that sometimes comes along with having a name that sounds like a female body part! It could be another Seinfeld episode!
